Cypher of the First Ones is a new system implemented in patch 9.2. Basically, you cannot communicate with the new Automa faction due to a language barrier. Their language is runic, meaning it’s based on symbols. You’ll have to learn their language by interacting with so called Cypher of the First Ones. Learning this new language will unlock tons of new content in a Zereth Mortis zone, such as: daily quests, new vendor options, new areas to explore, new side quests, Cypher of the First Ones Talents tree and more.
