Koraxis’s Distress can only be obtained from the Root of Nightmares raid. It has a chance to drop from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd encounters. Additionally, guardians can find it as a reward from secret chests and the Nezarec boss fight if they have earned it previously. Players can run the Root of Nightmares raid three times a week and it can also be crafted by acquiring five Deepsight variants.
For PVE purposes, prioritize enemy-clearing potential rather than pure boss damage. Choose Volatile Launch to increase the blast radius of each projectile, at the expense of velocity and handling speed. Spike Grenades should be selected to boost direct impact damage and stability. For primary perks, both Reconstruction and Chain Reaction are excellent choices. Reconstruction increases the magazine capacity, while Chain Reaction causes enemies to explode upon killing them. Pairing Chain Reaction with Hatchling is recommended, as it synergizes well with Strand builds.
In PVP, Koraxis’s Distress is a viable option with useful perks. Opt for Quick Launch to enhance velocity and Proximity Grenades for improved effectiveness against moving targets. Impulse Amplifier is recommended for its significant increase in projectile velocity and reload speed. As for the final perk, both Frenzy and Wellspring are suitable choices. Frenzy provides a static damage boost, while Wellspring helps replenish ability energy, which can be advantageous in engagements.
