As a nod to the challenge-seeking Guardians, the contest mode will be in effect for the first 48 hours of its release. This means your fireteam will confront heightened difficulty while striving for exclusive rewards, should you conquer the Raid within this timeframe.
To conquer all the encounters within the Raid, Guardians must attain a Power level of 1790, setting the bar for a formidable challenge.
In an effort to make the launch weekend even more uniquely demanding, Bungie is amping up the difficulty of Contest Mode. Notable adjustments include increasing the cap for player outgoing damage against combatants while retaining the existing incoming damage cap. Additionally, some adversaries will now sport elemental shields, and the aggression levels of all enemies will be elevated compared to previous Contest Mode iterations.
